Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elgin

The night I stayed they were completely booked and when checking in the front desk staff informed me that my room was missing the blackout shade due an incident that occurred by another guest the night before, so no opportunity to get another room. Not a huge deal, was on the 3rd floor so it wasn’t much of an inconvenience. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast options were okay compared to other hotels that offer breakfast but not bad. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. While the location is not the most appealing the hotel itself is not bad and I would stay again. Pricing was reasonable and location is near plenty of businesses and fast food places.

It was a little difficult to find the hotel as it was off the road behind other businesses. It was nice to have an upper room. Although I preferred the room facing the front parking lot I ended up with a view of the pool / patio area / nice shade tree. In the morning I got to watch a mother cat with her two little ones play and wait for breakfast.

Stayed here on a Friday night and the later ended up had to check in again to stay Saturday night also. The hotel was clean and comfortable with large rooms will all the necessities and modern amenities. But even better than that was the friendly, welcoming staff. From my initial phone call to book a last minute room on Friday, the wonderful ladies who checked me in each night, the personnel who checked me out each morning, to the kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance staff like Tony—everyone smiled at me, said hello and spoke to me! These days that’s not as common as it used to be, but those simple things make suck a huge difference in the overall customer experience! If we ever need a stay in this area again, I don’t need to bother looking for another hotel or looking for option in Bastrop—I will definitely book here in Elgin again!

Great place, nice size, the beds were so soft and great, I got a suite, it had a sofa. bed, very spacious, I will definitely stay there every time I visit my brother. Close to McDonald's, pizza hut, a very very short walk. next door Mexican restaurant is great the food was a little pricey. nice and big rooms,friendly staff.

Biggest complaints: There was a musty water odor in the hotel. First floor was pretty strong. Second floor was better. But, I'm sure they'll fix that very soon! Staff friendly! No dinner service. Location was .. well, there's really nothing there so, sure .. great location. AC works great so that's a big plus. Was quiet and clean Get Some.

Clean and comfortable rooms, lots of amenities available such as shower caps and make-up removing face cloths as well as good body wash and shampoo & conditioner. Excellent guest service from front desk staff and breakfast attendant. Located in strip mall near couple fast food shops and a Family Dollar store. A little tricky to get in and out of, however. I would stay here again.
